The Open3DGMBE community organizes and manages community work according to different SIGs (Special Interest Groups). SIG groups are open, and anyone can participate in SIG work.
  SIGs are established for specific one or more technical topics. SIG Maintainers lead SIG governance, and other SIG members drive the delivery of outputs.
  Each SIG will have one or more projects on Gitee, and these projects will have one or more repositories. SIG deliverables will be stored in these repositories. You can participate in discussions on specific issues, submit and solve problems, participate in reviews, etc. in the SIG's corresponding repositories.
  In the README.md file on the Gitee homepage of SIG team projects, you can find information about the SIG to which the project belongs, communication methods, members, and contact information. You are welcome to actively participate in SIG communications through mailing lists, public meetings, and contact information mentioned in the corresponding README.md file.
  SIG groups need to maintain their effective operation through periodic meetings and regularly report progress to the Technical Oversight Committee.

SIG Application Process
  1. Individuals or companies find 2-3 people with common goals in the Open3DGMBE community to discuss and decide to establish a SIG to maintain a certain technical direction software package in the Open3DGMBE community or initiate an incubation project.
  2. According to the SIG establishment process, create an application file on Gitee and initiate a PR; schedule a Technical Oversight Committee meeting time.
  3. Communicate and reach consensus with meeting members on technical scope, maintenance objectives, etc. at the Technical Oversight Committee meeting.
  4. The Technical Committee approves the establishment, and the corresponding PR is merged into the code repository.
  5. The SIG begins formal operation. The Technical Oversight Committee regularly reviews the operation of the SIG and provides guidance.
